Derek Wang

Derek Wang has an extensive work experience in the telecommunications industry. Derek started their career at Lucent Technologies as an SE in July 2002 and later became an MTS in November 2004. From July 2006 to April 2010, Derek worked at ZTE as a Senior Business Development Manager. Derek then joined Telco Systems as the Regional Pre-sales Director for APAC from April 2010 to March 2014. Currently, Derek holds the position of Associate Vice President of Customer Success at Allot, a role they assumed in September 2022. Prior to this role, they served as the Director of Customer Success for APAC at Allot from May 2016 to August 2022. From March 2014 to April 2016, Derek was the Technical Director for APAC at Allot. Overall, Derek Wang has held various leadership and managerial positions throughout their career, showcasing their expertise in customer success and pre-sales.

Derek Wang pursued their education in a chronological order. Derek first attended Southeast University from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Electrical Engineering. Following this, they attended Ocean University of China from 1999 to 2002 and earned a Master of Engineering degree in Signal & Information. Later, from 2014 to 2016, Derek enrolled in Aalto University where they completed their EMBA (Executive Master of Business Administration) with a focus on Strategy, Leadership, Negotiation, Accounting & Business Management. In addition to their formal education, Derek Wang has also obtained certifications including CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) from Cisco and CECP (Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional) from MEF.
