Matt Grimes

Matt Grimes has extensive experience in the financial sector, currently serving as the Head of Money Market Research at Allspring Global Investments since November 2021. Prior to this role, Matt Grimes held the position of Managing Director at Wells Capital Management from 1995 to November 2021, focusing on Fixed Income Research with an emphasis on Short Duration strategies. Earlier in his career, Matt Grimes worked as a Fixed Income Analyst at Norwest Bank from 1991 to 1995 and began in the industry as a Credit Analyst. Matt Grimes holds an MBA from the UMN Carlson School of Management, earned between 1996 and 1999, and a BS in Economics and Computer Science from the University of Minnesota, completed in 1992.
