Oscar Olivas

Oscar Olivas, CFA, is a Senior High Yield Fixed Income Analyst at Allspring Global Investments since November 2021, specializing in the analysis of high yield and distressed securities with significant expertise in the Energy and Financial sectors, particularly in Energy Transition and ESG-related risks and opportunities. Prior to this role, Oscar spent over 17 years at Wells Fargo in various roles including Senior HY Research Analyst and Portfolio & Trading Analyst, contributing to portfolio management functions and research analysis. Oscar's educational background includes a B.A. in Latin American Studies and a B.S. in Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, along with completion of the Riordan Programs as an MBA Fellow at UCLA Anderson School of Management. Additionally, Oscar held the position of President at LBSA from 2004 to 2005 and began an early career in finance through a marketing internship at Wells Capital Management.
