Simon Careau

Simon Careau, FCAS, FCIA has extensive work experience in the actuarial field. From 2006 to 2016, they worked at Allstate Canada, starting as an Actuarial Analyst and progressing to various managerial roles in reserving, reinsurance, and pricing. In 2016, they briefly joined The Co-operators as a Senior Actuarial Consultant. Since 2016, they have been back at Allstate Canada, initially as a Manager in Reserving and Reinsurance, and currently, they hold the position of Director of Actuarial Financial Modeling.

Simon Careau, FCAS, FCIA earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Actuarial Science from Université Laval, where they studied from 2003 to 2006. In 2009, they obtained the FCAS designation from the Casualty Actuarial Society, followed by the FCIA designation from the Canadian Institute of Actuaries in 2010.
