Theonie Anastassiadis has extensive work experience in various roles and companies.

Theonie started their career in 2006 as a Research Assistant at the National Cancer Institute (NCI), where they investigated the effect of cell contact and tumor grade on the expression of gap junction protein. Theonie continued working at NCI in 2007 and also worked as a Research Assistant at the Bio21 Institute in 2008, where they generated a rabbit kidney epithelial cell line to study the role of TimD4 in prion infection and intercellular propagation.

In 2009, Theonie worked as a Discovery Science volunteer at Merck and then as a Research Specialist at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Theonie joined Haverford College as a Research Thesis Student in 2008 and completed their role in 2009.

From 2011 to 2017, they pursued a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology (Cancer Biology) at the University of Pennsylvania Medical School.

In 2017, Theonie joined Flagship Pioneering as a Fellow for a short period. Theonie then joined Ohana Biosciences, Inc. in 2018, working on scientific strategy and operations. In the same year, they also co-founded Alltrna, where they currently hold the position of Chief Innovation Officer.

In 2019, they became a Senior Associate at Flagship Pioneering, and in 2021, they were promoted to Principal. Theonie later became a Senior Principal in 2023.

Overall, Theonie Anastassiadis has a diverse background in research, scientific strategy, and entrepreneurship in the fields of cancer biology, reproductive medicine, and biotechnology.

Theonie Anastassiadis received their Baccalauréat Scientifique, spécialité Mathématiques from Rochambeau, The French International School. Theonie then pursued their Bachelor's degree in Biology, General from Haverford College, graduating in 2009. Afterward, they attended the University of Pennsylvania, where they obtained a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Cancer Biology in 2017. In October 2017, they also earned a certification in Wharton Business Foundations from Coursera Course Certificates.
