Jeff Jackson has over 30 years of work experience in various GIS-related roles. Jeff is currently serving as the Associate Vice-President of GIS Services at Allworld Project Management, where they oversee all AWPM GIS programs/projects and supports the utilization of GIS content using Esri Enterprise GIS solutions.
Prior to this role, Jeff was a GIS Team Lead for the City of Memphis Information Services, Enterprise GIS Team, where they provided GIS analysis, data management, and workflow process design to support various city departments. Jeff also managed and maintained the city's ArcGIS Online environment and GIS data within an ArcGIS Server/SDE environment.
Before joining the City of Memphis, Jeff worked as a GIS Consultant at Jackson GIS Consulting for a brief period.
Their earlier experience includes working as a GIS Specialist for the Environmental Protection Agency, where they developed a relational database and imported GIS products for researchers. Jeff also served as the Co-Owner and President of JETT, LLC Construction, a successful insurance repair contracting company, and as a Forestry Consultant for Franklin L. Allen, Associated Foresters, where they expanded the business and managed a satellite office.
Jeff's career began as a Forester for the State of Florida, Division of Forestry.
Jeff Jackson started their education at Woodham High School in 1977 and completed their studies in 1980. Jeff then attended Mississippi State University from 1980 to 1984, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry. Later, in 2007, they enrolled at the University of West Florida and completed a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science in 2008.
In addition to their formal education, Jeff Jackson has earned several certifications. In January 2022, they became a Certified Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) through the GIS Certification Institute. In May 2021, they also obtained the ArcGIS Desktop Professional 19-001 certification from Esri.
