Johannes Weirich

Johannes Weirich is a highly skilled professional in the fields of machine learning and optical sciences, currently serving as a Machine Learning Developer at Alm Brand since February 2021. Prior to this role, Johannes worked as a Data Scientist at Udviklings- og Forenklingsstyrelsen and held a significant position as a Product Development Engineer at NKT Photonics A/S, where expertise was applied in the design, testing, and management of optical fibers. Johannes has also contributed to the development of numerical and experimental optical methods as a Staff Scientist at Danish Fundamental Metrology A/S and furthered research on microstructured fibers during a postdoctoral appointment at DTU Fotonik. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Optics from DTU and an MSc in Theoretical High Energy Physics from Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München, complemented by a visiting PhD experience at the University of Central Florida.
