Rene ter Borgh has extensive experience in leadership and management within both the sports and business sectors. Since September 30, 2011, Rene ter Borgh has served as the honorary chairman of Almere City FC, following a 15-year tenure as chairman of the supervisory board from May 1995 to April 2011. Additionally, Rene ter Borgh has been a member of the advisory board for Ruitenheer Nederland BV since September 1987, where responsibilities include managing and owning Ruitenheer business development, which encompasses several subsidiaries such as Ruitenheer Vastgoed B.V. Between July 1995 and July 2000, Rene ter Borgh also held the position of vice-chairman of the national board of AWOG, an organization that later merged with OSB. Academic background includes a degree in Commercial Economics obtained between 1983 and 1987, as well as earlier education at Plesman.
