Peter Hein

Peter Hein is an experienced professional in the fields of early clinical development and translational medicine. Currently serving as the Global Head of Early Clinical Development and Translational Medicine at Almirall since October 2023, Peter also co-founded and directs TherapeutAix since May 2018. Previously, Peter held the position of Senior Director of Translational Medicine and Early Clinical Development at Bayer from July 2018 to September 2023. Peter's extensive background includes leadership roles at Grünenthal Group, where responsibilities included leading the Innovative Medicines Unit and providing clinical oversight across various stages of drug development. Academic qualifications include a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Würzburg and an M.D. from the University of Duisburg-Essen, complemented by postdoctoral research at UCSF and Würzburg.
