Mohammad Hamdy has a wealth of experience in law and public policy. In 2012, they began their career as a Teaching Fellow at Harvard University. In 2015, they were an Arthur C. Helton Fellow at the American Society of International Law and an Author and Trainer in Human Rights and Humanitarian Law at the African Union. In 2017, they became a Byse Fellow at Harvard Law School and in 2018, they were a Lead Consultant at the Lebanese Oil and Gas Initiative (LOGI). In 2019, they were a Visiting Assistant Professor and Yongxiong Fellow at Tulane University Law School. In 2021, they became an MPA/ID Candidate at Harvard Kennedy School. Currently, they are the Head of Law and Public Policy at Almond Fintech and the Editor In Chief in Policy at This Week in Fintech. Additionally, they are a Summer Policy Researcher at Circle.
Mohammad Hamdy has a diverse educational background. Mohammad began their studies in 2003, earning a LL.B. in Law from Alexandria University in 2007. In 2008, they earned a Graduate Diploma in Economics and Public Finance from Alexandria University. From 2009 to 2010, they earned a Graduate Diploma in Public Law from Cairo University, followed by an LL.M. in Law from Harvard Law School in 2011. Mohammad completed their S.J.D. in International Economic Law from Harvard Law School in 2018. Mohammad is currently pursuing an MPA/ID in Development Economics and International Development from Harvard Kennedy School, which they are expected to complete in 2023.
