Alexa Bacha

Alexa Bacha is a Senior Associate Scientist at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals, specializing in RNA sequencing and related automated library preparation, as well as cell culture and specialty sequencing techniques. Prior experience includes a Research Associate role at the University of Iowa Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine, where Alexa managed NGS Otoscope panels for hereditary hearing loss analysis. Previous positions involved research on hereditary neuropathies and orthopedic trauma, along with roles as a Medical Laboratory Technologist, Phlebotomist, and Certified Nursing Assistant. Alexa holds a Master of Science in Molecular Medicine from Drexel University College of Medicine and a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Physiology from the University of Iowa, complemented by minors in Chemistry and Biology.
