Ferdinando Vegni

Ferdinando Vegni currently serves as Senior Vice President and Head of Global Patient Safety & Risk Management at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals. Prior to this, Ferdinando held several key leadership positions at Bristol Myers Squibb, including Global Head of Patient Safety for Haematology and Cell Therapy, where responsibility encompassed benefit-risk evaluations from early clinical development through product lifecycle. Previous experience includes Vice President roles at Celgene, overseeing Global Drug Safety & Risk Management, as well as Clinical Safety for Oncology and Hematology. Ferdinando's background also features a Medical Director position at Pfizer, contributing to strategic input for clinical development and regulatory submissions, and a Medical Director role within an Italian hospital trust. Ferdinando holds a PhD in Pharmacoepidemiology from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and has furthered education in Health Economics at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
