John Gansner

John Gansner is an accomplished medical professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors. Currently serving as Executive Director and previously as Senior Director and Medical Director at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since October 2018, John also holds the position of Associate Physician in the Hematology Division at Brigham and Women's Hospital, a role maintained since July 2016. Prior to these positions, John served as an Instructor in Medicine at Harvard Medical School and completed a fellowship at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. John’s clinical training includes residency at Brigham and Women's Hospital. Academically, John earned a Bachelor's degree in Biochemical Sciences from Harvard University and holds both a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Washington University in St. Louis.
