Sarah Schmitt

Sarah Schmitt is an experienced professional in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries, currently serving as Sr. Director of Alliance and Program Management at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since May 2023. Prior to this role, Sarah held the position of Director of Program Management at Moderna from May 2020 to May 2023. Sarah's career began at Eli Lilly and Company, where roles included Product Delivery Project Manager and Pharmaceutical Project Manager from November 2009 to May 2020, managing late-stage molecules and contributing to mammalian cell line development. Earlier experience includes serving as an R&D Scientist at Millipore and as Cell Culture Manager at Leinco Technologies. Sarah holds a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Leadership from Butler University and advanced degrees in Molecular Genetics from Washington University in St. Louis, along with a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Penn State University.
