Utkarsh Patel

Utkarsh Patel is an Associate Scientist II in RNAi Discovery at Alnylam Pharmaceuticals since October 2025, following a role as Associate Scientist in Single Cell Science at HiFiBiO Therapeutics from October 2023 to September 2025. Prior experience includes a co-op at Prime Medicine, Inc. in 2023 focused on single-cell analysis and genome editing using CRISPR and prime editing techniques, and an internship in Investigative Toxicology at Takeda, where evaluation of neurotoxicity from chemotherapeutic compounds was conducted. Utkarsh began academic research as an undergraduate at Shiv Nadar University, studying the effects of anti-hepatic drugs on Hepatitis E virus, further enhancing technical skills through a summer traineeship at Jawaharlal Nehru University focused on molecular characterization. Utkarsh holds a Master of Science in Biotechnology from Northeastern University and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology from Shiv Nadar University.
