Eugene Carr has an extensive work experience in the music and technology industries. In 1983, they began working as the Director of Operations for the American Symphony Orchestra, where they produced concerts at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Radio City Music Hall (with PBS) and a Grammy nominated recording. In 1987, they moved to American Express as a Marketing Manager. In 1991, they returned to the American Symphony Orchestra as Executive Director, where they were responsible for managing all aspects of the organization and grew budgeted activities 4x over five years. In 1995, they became the Executive Director of The Concordia Orchestra. In 1997, they founded and became CEO of CultureFinder.com, an innovative company that pioneered arts content and commerce on the Internet. In 2001, they became CEO & Founder of Patron Technology, which strives to revolutionize the ticketing industry for arts, culture and other live events. In 2018, they moved to Patron Technology as Chief Innovation Officer and President. Most recently, in 2019, they co-founded ALO.ai and became CEO and Co-Founder.
Eugene Carr completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) in Marketing from Columbia Business School in 1987, a Bachelor's Degree in History from Oberlin College in 1982, and a Bachelor of Music in Cello Performance from Oberlin Conservatory in 1982.
