Michael Batkins is a seasoned communications professional with extensive experience in various roles within the media and public sectors. Currently serving as a Communications Strategist and previously as a Senior Communications Specialist at the Air Line Pilots Association since December 2018, Michael has also held the position of Communications Director at the Illinois Department of Insurance from July 2016 to December 2018. Michael's career includes significant roles at NBC Chicago, where responsibilities included Platform Manager and Content Producer from July 2012 to July 2016, and WFTS-TV as a News Producer from January 2010 to June 2012. Additional experience includes producing news at 9&10 News - Heritage Broadcasting and serving as a Sports Producer at Midwest Communications, Inc. Michael earned a Bachelor's of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from Western Michigan University in 2007.
