Synclair Chendranaga has work experience in various roles and companies. In 2019, they worked as a Summer Intern at Java Cataract and Refractive Center, where they promoted and managed a free cataract surgery CSR event. In 2020, at the University of Washington Bioengineering, they worked as an Undergraduate Student Researcher in the Biophotonics and Imaging Lab (BAIL), collaborating with Estée Lauder and calibrating a Polarization-Sensitive Optical Coherence Tomography (PSOCT) system. They also served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant for a mass transport and systems laboratory course. Currently, at Alpenglow Biosciences, they hold the position of Software Engineer and previously worked as a Data Scientist. In their role as a Data Scientist, they adapted and parallelized light sheet microscopy Python scan code, leveraged cloud-based AI analysis software for quantitative image analysis, and worked with big data to create 3D visualizations of cellular tissues.
