Volatile Chemist/analyst at Alpha Analytical

Stephanie Scott has a diverse range of work experience. In 2017, they worked as a Cashier at Tiffany's Bakery and Eatery. From 2019 to 2019, they served as an Intern Marine Scientist at Oceans Research, conducting research on various marine species and participating in conservation efforts. In 2020, they worked as a Camp Counselor and Support Staff at Riverbanks Zoo and Garden, where they acquired leadership and teaching skills while working with wildlife. In 2022, Stephanie had two research internships, one with Sharklife Conservation Group and another at the White Shark Diving Company Research and Volunteer Institute. In these roles, they assisted with data collection and analysis, project proposals, and awareness initiatives. Stephanie also worked as a NEFOP Observer at A.I.S. Inc. in 2022, where they regulated and observed fish catches on commercial fishing boats. Currently, Stephanie is employed at Alpha Analytical as a Volatile Chemist/Analyst, responsible for analyzing chemical sequences in environmental samples to ensure they meet regulations.

Stephanie Scott completed their undergraduate education at the University of South Carolina from 2017 to 2021, where they pursued a degree in Environmental Studies with a focus on Marine Sciences. After graduating, they continued their academic journey at Unity Environmental University in 2022, where they are currently pursuing a Master of Science degree in Marine Science, specifically in the field of Conservation of Marine Predators.

In addition to their formal education, Stephanie has obtained several certifications related to their field of study. In 2018, they became an Advanced Open Water Diver through the Professional Association of Diving Instructors (PADI). Stephanie also has a certification in Marine Safety Procedures, obtained in South Africa through Oceans Research in July 2019. Stephanie further expanded their expertise through certifications such as Marine Mammal Rescue, obtained from Oceans Research in July 2019, and CPR/AED/First Aid, obtained from Emergency First Response in May 2020. Most recently, in August 2022, Stephanie obtained a Rescue Scuba Diver certification from PADI and an Adventure Freediver 1 certification from Pure Apnea in April 2022.
