Richard Schmitz

Richard Schmitz is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in system architecture and engineering. Currently serving as the Senior Manager of System Architecture at Alpha & Omega Semiconductor since October 2017, Richard has previously held prominent roles such as Director Technical Staff Architect at IDT and VP of System Architecture at ZMD America. Richard's career also includes significant positions at ZMD AG as Technical Director and Chief Analog System Architect at Dialog Semiconductor, where Richard advanced through roles such as VP of Advanced Technology and VP of Engineering. Early career experiences include management and engineering positions at TEMIC/Dialog Semiconductor, TEMIC, the Institut fuer Mikroelektronik Stuttgart, and Hewlett-Packard. Richard holds a degree from Hochschule Trier and completed education at Friedrich-Wilhelm-Gymnasium.
