Heather Muir is a Computational Physicist at Alpha Ring since June 2024, focusing on plasma simulation in nuclear fusion. Previously, Heather worked as a Data Scientist at Vira Health from August 2022 to June 2024 and served as a Course Demonstrator at the University of Cambridge from October 2019 to October 2021, leading courses in C++ programming and scientific computing. Early experience includes roles as a Graduate Mechanical Engineer at GHD and as an Aerospace Engineer at Boeing. Education includes a PhD in Physics with a specialization in Computational Physics from the University of Cambridge, an MPhil in Scientific Computing from the same institution, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering from The University of Queensland, where Heather graduated as Valedictorian.
