Principal Solutions Architect at AlphaStruxure

Gene Kogan has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Gene worked as a Principal Solutions Architect and later as a Principal Systems Advisor at AlphaStruxure, where they developed strategies and processes for vetting Distributed Energy Resources (DER) and Alternative Fuels stacks. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Project Manager - Energy and Sustainability at CRB, managing projects in the life sciences and advanced technology sectors. Additionally, they worked at the Center for Sustainable Energy (CSE) as a Director and Senior Project Manager, focusing on evaluating the economic feasibility and technical fit of proposed energy systems. Gene also served as the Global Energy Programs Manager at Saint-Gobain Performance Plastics, and held various roles at Sempra Energy and San Diego Gas & Electric, including Account Executive Supervisor and Associate Engineer. Gene began their career as an Electrical Estimator & General Foreman assistant at United Electric Inc.

Gene Kogan received a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering - Power from San Diego State University, from 1996 to 2001. In 2012, they obtained a LEED Green Associate certification from the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI). Gene also completed a Project Management Program Certificate at the San Diego College of Continuing Education from 2016 to 2017.
