Nicola Santamaria

Nicola Santamaria has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies in the energy sector. Their most recent role was as a Senior Vice President at AlphaStruxure, a company that specializes in designing, building, financing, and maintaining energy systems. Prior to that, they served as a Vice President at Enel Group, where they led the procurement division for the USA and Canada.

Nicola also held various leadership positions at Enel Green Power, including overseeing project execution and construction in North America, as well as leading renewable projects in India, Australia, Asia, and Southern Africa. Nicola was responsible for managing multi-technology portfolios and ensuring the achievement of safety, timeline, economic, and quality objectives throughout the project lifecycle.

Before joining Enel, Nicola worked as a Wind Design Manager in Brazil, where they were involved in the engineering and design of wind farms. Nicola also served as a Project Manager for renewable energy projects, including geothermal and concentrated solar power plants.

Nicola's career began as a Mechanical Engineer at Enel, where they advanced projects from development to commercial operation. Nicola gained experience in steam turbines, ultra-supercritical boilers, and coal-fired facilities. Additionally, they held project management roles at M.E.CO.IN Srl and Enelpower, where they contributed to the construction and planning of power plants.

Earlier in their career, Nicola completed a research internship at the National Research Council of Italy, focusing on energy and economic evaluations of a trigeneration system.
