Nigel Attwood possesses extensive experience in sales and marketing within the technical and scientific sectors. Currently serving as Director at alphaXRT since March 1994, Nigel is responsible for the promotion of equipment utilized in radiation oncology, cancer research, and high-energy physics. Prior to this role, Nigel was CEO of York Technology Ltd from 1989 to February 1994, overseeing the distribution and sales of optical fiber test and measurement equipment across the Asia Pacific region. Earlier in the career, Nigel worked as a Senior Field Seismologist at Seismograph Service Ltd from 1985 to 1989, where expertise in seismic data acquisition, processing, and interpretation supported the petrochemical industry in resource exploration. Nigel holds a Bachelor of Science in Electronics from the University of London, earned between 1980 and 1984.

alphaXRT [formerly CMS alphatech] was founded in 1990 and has offices in Auckland and Sydney from which they operate across Australasia. They specialise in the marketing, sales, service and support of software and devices used in the radiotherapeutic treatment of cancer. This includes radiotherapy treatment planning systems, medical physics equipment to check and monitor the clinical energies delivered, patient positioning & immobilisation devices, and radiation shielding solutions for bunker construction. They have by far the largest installed base of patient positioning solutions and medical physics devices throughout Australasia, and supply products to every radiotherapy department in Australia and New Zealand. In addition to their radiotherapy products, alphaXRT also manage the design, manufacture and supply of a range of accelerator beam-line equipment to steer, focus, or filter high-energy charged particle beams. This includes Electromagnets, Wein Filters and Electrostatic Analysers that are employed in accelerator installations worldwide.
