David Abramson

David Abramson serves as the Chief U.S. Strategist and Director of Research at Alpine Macro since October 2017. Concurrently, David has been a Sessional Lecturer at McGill University since 1999, teaching courses on Global Capital Markets and International Finance, and previously at Concordia University, teaching various finance and investment courses since 1997. Prior experience includes a role as Managing Editor and Director of Research at BCA Research from 1988 to 2016, where duties involved global macro-thematic research and mentorship of junior analysts. David’s career began as a Research Assistant at the Bank of Canada from 1983 to 1986, focusing on financial modeling and economic policy reports. Educational qualifications include an MBA/MA in International Relations from the University of Chicago and a Master's in Economics from Carleton University, complemented by a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Western University.
