Rich Newman

Rich Newman currently serves as the Superintendent of Alpine Union School District since July 2016. Previous positions include Director of Innovation and Director II of Learning Support Services at Poway Unified School District from 2014 and 2012 respectively. Rich has also held the role of Principal at Poway Unified School District from 2008 to 2012 and worked as an Education Officer for The Wallace Foundation from 2005 to 2007, focusing on improving educational leadership and addressing the achievement gap. Rich Newman earned a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) in Leadership Studies from the University of San Diego and a Master of Science in International Relations and Affairs from Florida State University.
