Azzurra Carlon

Azzurra Carlon is an experienced R&D Engineer and Project Manager at Alpinestars since December 2017, specializing in wearable Airbag Systems with electronic activation, overseeing projects from concept to production while focusing on technical documentation and product certification. Previously, Azzurra served as a Data Scientist and Algorithm Designer at Alpinestars, contributing to R&D projects in the protective garments sector for motorsports. Azzurra's academic background includes a Master’s degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from Università degli Studi di Padova, supplemented by an Erasmus program at Chalmers University of Technology. Additional experience includes a post-doctoral fellowship at the Center of Magnetic Resonance, a short-term fellowship at the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology, and collaboration with the Department of Information Engineering at the University of Padova on kinetic models related to insulin uptake.
