Chris van Leuven

Chris Van Leuven is an accomplished freelance contributor and writer with extensive experience in outdoor and adventure writing. Since 2010, Chris has contributed features to Alpinist magazine, garnering recognition for literary excellence, including inclusion in Best American Sports Writing 2016. Chris has also written for Elevation Outdoors and served as a digital editor for Height of Land Publications. Additional experience includes roles as a contributor for The Guardian, sales and client relations positions at Outdoor Gear Lab and SuperTopo, and project management at Madwire Marketing. With a background in production coordination for climbing and canoeing magazines, Chris has demonstrated expertise in producing high-quality content and managing client accounts, supported by education at Caldwell Community College and Central Oregon Community College.
