Guillermo Fernández Gil

Guillermo Fernández Gil has a comprehensive background in business development and project management within the energy sector, currently serving as a Business Developer at Alpiq since October 2024. Prior to this role, Guillermo held the position of Development Manager (Growth) at Sonnedix from June 2023 to October 2024 and was Business Development Manager UK at Opdenergy from August 2020 to July 2023, focusing on utility-scale solar PV and battery storage projects. Guillermo has also worked as a Project Developer, facilitating the development of solar PV assets in Spain and the UK, and began their career at ACCIONA in various roles including Junior Project Developer and participating in an intensive leadership training program. In addition, experience includes work as a Business Consultant at Management Solutions, advising energy companies on risk strategies. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Industrial Engineering with a focus on Energy from Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, and further studies in Engineering and Business Management from Chalmers University of Technology, as well as a PreMBA Essentials course from Imperial College Business School.
