Laia Mayol

Laia Mayol has extensive experience in engineering and procurement, currently serving as the Head of Procurement at Alpiq since January 2016, after holding the position of Maintenance Engineer. Prior to Alpiq, Mayol worked at GE Power from May 2008 to June 2015 as Maintenance Manager, overseeing health and safety compliance and maintenance departmental policies, and previously as a Field Engineer involved in the installation and maintenance of heavy-duty gas turbines. Additional experience includes roles at Alstom Hydro from April 2005 to April 2008, where Mayol coordinated site works for hydro power plants, and at Simon Holding as a Design Engineer, along with a Technical Service Engineer position at Matachana. Mayol holds a Postgraduate degree in Site Managing and an Engineering degree in Mechanics from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya.
