Gernot Groder is an experienced professional in information security and IT management, currently serving as the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and Head of Corporate Information Security at ALPLA Group since November 2024. Previously, Gernot Groder worked as a Senior Business Consultant for Information Security at UMB AG for almost a year, focusing on Governance, Risk & Compliance as well as interim CISO services. Gernot Groder's extensive career at TYROLIT Group spanned over two decades, where roles included CISO, Head of Corporate Information Security, Site-Integration Manager, and Network and System Administrator, contributing to the planning and realization of global IT infrastructure integration. Gernot Groder began a professional journey as a Network/System Administrator and Software Developer at Tiroler Versicherung from September 1993 to September 2003. Educationally, Gernot Groder holds a Matura degree from the Fremdenverkehrs- und Wirtschaftsakademie, obtained between 1984 and 1989.
