Laurent Schmitt is an experienced professional in product innovation and development, currently serving as the International R&I Plant Based Drinks Category Director at Alpro since March 2019, managing a team of 9 and overseeing a portfolio of projects in plant-based drinks and desserts. Previously, Laurent held various leadership roles at Danone, including R&I Stirred Yogurt EU Platform Leader and multiple managerial positions focused on innovation and technology in product development for dairy and indulgent categories. With a strong foundation in engineering and process sciences from AgroParisTech, Laurent has a proven track record in managing cross-functional teams and driving successful innovation strategies within the food industry.
