Nick Sandham

Nick Sandham has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Nick started their career as a Trainee Manager and worked their way up to become a General and Assistant Manager in Gala Clubs. In 1996, they became the Marketing Manager for Freshney Place Shopping Centre, where they were responsible for the regional PR and marketing strategy. Nick then moved on to become the Centre Manager for Dunmail Park Shopping Centre, where they managed a 13-acre retail site and a team of 100 staff. In 1999, they became the Marketing Manager for De Montfort University, where they raised the profile of the institution. Nick later joined the University of Lincoln as a PR Manager, supporting student recruitment and managing events and alumni relations. In 2005, they became the Retail PR Manager for E.ON UK, overseeing consumer PR strategy and media relations. In 2008, they joined Thomas Cook Group as the Senior PR Manager, handling external and internal communications for Thomas Cook Airlines. Nick then became the Head of UK Airline Communications, where they focused on strategic communications and sustainability. In 2015, they joined Network Rail as the Head of Communications for the London North Eastern & East Midlands route, leading a team and promoting the upgrade of Britain's railway. Their most recent role is with Alshaya Group, where they served as the Vice President of Corporate Communications, leading a multi-disciplinary communications team and managing external, internal, design, and corporate channels for the global franchise retail company.

Nick Sandham attended Sherburn High School in Leeds from 1980 to 1987. Nick then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Liverpool, graduating in 1990. Nick obtained additional certifications, including MPRCA, and MCIPR from an institution between 2004 and 2014, and in the year 2017, respectively.
