Thandeka McHunu

Thandeka Mchunu is an accomplished communication professional with extensive experience in corporate communications and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as the Southern Africa Communication Director at Alstom since March 2020, Thandeka previously held the position of Manager, Corporate Affairs at Mondi Group, where responsibilities included managing the Communication and Corporate Social Responsibility department. Thandeka has also worked with Exxaro Resources as a Specialist in Stakeholder Communication, leading a team and overseeing stakeholder communication plans, and held various roles at companies such as Rio Tinto, Bayer (Pty) Ltd, and Sappi Fine Paper South Africa, focusing on internal and external communication, media relations, and event management.
