Thomas Karlsson

Thomas Karlsson is an experienced professional with a diverse background in both engineering and music. Currently serving as Team Leader for SubSystem Test at Alstom since January 2023, Thomas focuses on quality improvements, coordination, and leading a team of testers. Alongside this role, Thomas has been a songwriter and music producer with the songwriting team Karlsson & Granstrom since March 2021, aimed at uniting the world through music. Prior to these positions, Thomas held various roles at Bombardier Transportation from July 2001 to December 2022 as a Senior Test Engineer, focusing on automated testing and safety-critical systems for railways. Early in the career, Thomas was involved in music as a drummer, keyboardist, and arranger for Formula-5/Formula-2, and worked in a caregiving role at Stockholms stad. Educational qualifications include a Kandidatexamen in Datateknik from KTH Royal Institute of Technology and foundational music education from Musikhögskolan Piteå and Framnäs FHS.
