Jennifer Sutcliffe

Jennifer Sutcliffe has over 10 years of professional experience in the library and educational technology fields. Jennifer began their career in 2007 as a Library Associate at Fulton County Government, where they were responsible for circulation staff duties and translating system-wide official documents into Spanish. In 2011, they began working at Emory University as a Library Specialist, where they researched and resolved questions regarding access and ownership of the library’s electronic resources. Jennifer also assisted with implementing major changes in the library. That same year, they also took on a role as a Library Assistant at Georgia State University, where they created finding aids and researched best practices for back-up, storage, and recovery of servers, files, and data. In 2012, they served as a Library Intern at Agnes Scott College. In 2015, they began working as an Instructional Designer at Emory University, where they provided training, in-class demonstrations, one-on-one consultations, and virtual tutorials on a wide variety of technologies that can be used for instruction. In 2020, they became an RYT 500 Yoga Instructor at Yoga Alliance and the Owner and Game Designer at The Immaterial Plane, LLC. Most recently, in 2021, they became the Owner and Consultant of Learning Design & Academic Production at Sage Aspect, LLC.

Jennifer Sutcliffe attended Roswell High School before receiving a BS in Journalism and Anthropology from Emory University in 2006. Jennifer then went on to receive an MS in Library and Information Sciences from the University of North Texas in 2010. In 2019, they earned a Master of Education in Learning, Design & Technology – Instructional Design & Development from UGA Mary Frances Early College of Education. Jennifer is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy in Educational Psychology and Educational Technology from Michigan State University, which they are expected to complete in 2027.
