Mercedes Cebrián

Mercedes Cebrián has a diverse work experience in various roles within the legal and music industry. Mercedes started their career in 2009 as an Internship Trainee at Notaría Casas Ibañez. In 2009, they also worked as an Internship Trainee at Uría Menéndez. From 2017 to 2020, they worked at Warner Music Group as a Legal Counsel, where they advised on national and international projects and was involved in drafting and negotiating agreements related to artistic production, merchandising, and intellectual property rights. In 2019, they joined SAE Institute Spain as a Coordinator/Lecturer, focusing on teaching the legal framework and intellectual property concepts in the music industry. Currently, they are working at ALTAFONTE as the Head of Business Affairs & Compliance Officer, where they consult on projects across Europe, the United States, and Latin America and negotiates agreements with digital service providers.

Mercedes Cebrián has a diverse education history. Mercedes obtained their Bachelor's degree in Law and International Relations (E-1) from Universidad Pontificia Comillas in the years 2005 to 2010. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Intellectual Property at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid from 2017 to 2018. Additionally, they attended Academia Matritense del Notariado Madrid from 2010 to 2017 to prepare for the state exams for access to the Cuerpos de Notarios de España, focusing on Civil, Commercial, Tax, Litigation, and Administrative and Land or Real Estate Registration Law. In 2008 to 2009, they completed a Licenciatura in Droit at Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg. Notably, Mercedes Cebrián also holds a specialization in Violin from Conservatorio Superior de Música de Tenerife, which they pursued from 1995 to 2005. Their musical education encompassed subjects such as Harmony, Music History, Composition, and Musical Language. In terms of further education, they completed a Programa Avanzado en Corporate Compliance in Law at UNIR - La Universidad en Internet in 2021.
