Steve Fox has a diverse work experience primarily in the fields of special operations and intelligence. From 2003 to 2006, they served as an Infantry Officer in the 82nd Airborne Division, where they led a rifle platoon and later was promoted to specialty mortar platoon leader during combat operations in Iraq. From 2007 to 2010, they held various positions within the 1st Special Forces Command (Airborne), including SFOD-A Commander, where they led teams in Afghanistan and conducted numerous operations against high-value targets. From 2010 to 2011, they served as the Special Forces Battalion Assistant Operations Officer and Executive Officer, responsible for planning and resource allocation in Southeast Asia and the Western Hemisphere. From 2011 to 2013, they worked as an Interagency Operations Officer at the United States Army Special Operations Command, overseeing highly sensitive global operations. Steve attended the U.S. Naval War College as a student in 2013-2014. From 2014 to 2016, they served as the Special Forces Battalion Operations Officer and a Special Forces Company Commander, managing personnel and operations in North, Central, and South America. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at the Defense Intelligence Agency, where they held the position of Branch Chief / Executive Officer, overseeing budget, training, and operations of the Special Operations Division. From 2019 to 2022, they served as the Army Special Forces National Capital Region Liaison Officer, responsible for coordination and deconfliction with the Interagency and the Intelligence Community. In 2021, they became a Fellow at the Special Operators Transition Foundation, and they are currently working as the Director of Program Management at Altagrove since April 2022.

Steve Fox has a diverse education history. From 1998 to 2002, they attended Marshall University, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminal Justice. Later, they enrolled at the U.S. Naval War College and completed a Master of Arts degree in National Security and Strategic Studies in 2014. In addition to their academic achievements, Steve has obtained several certifications throughout their career. Steve received a Top Secret (TS) SCI eligible Clearance with CI Poly from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management in August 2019. In August 2018, they earned the certification of Strategic Debriefer from the Defense Intelligence Agency. Prior to that, in May 2017, they completed the High Threat Meeting Course also offered by the Defense Intelligence Agency. Steve further enhanced their intelligence and operational skills by obtaining certifications such as Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Desk Officer and Human Intelligence (HUMINT) Operations Support Officer from the Defense Intelligence Agency in November and October 2016, respectively. Lastly, in March 2012, Steve obtained a United States Parachute License B from the U.S. Parachute Association, demonstrating their proficiency in parachute operations.
