Murali Sivaswamy

Murali Sivaswamy is a seasoned finance executive with extensive experience at Altair Engineering since April 2002, currently serving as Senior Vice President of Finance. Murali played a pivotal role in rebuilding and leading the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function following the company's IPO, overseeing global cash and treasury operations, accounts receivable, and shared services in India while supporting mergers and acquisitions. Previously, Murali was promoted to oversee global finance and accounting in preparation for the IPO and successfully led a 50-member team to accommodate new locations and revenue growth. Prior roles at Altair include Director of Budgeting & Analysis, where Murali established the company's first formal FP&A function, and Controller. Murali's earlier experience includes positions as Finance Manager at HCL Perot Systems and Astra-IDL Limited, where leadership in financial operations and process improvements were key contributions. Murali holds a Chartered Accountant designation from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Mysore.
