Alexandra Casanovas

Alexandra Casanovas has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. In 2014, they worked as a Program Manager at Somos Familia Valle. From 2018 to 2019 they served as a Community Organizing Intern at Planned Parenthood Los Angeles and as a Student Event Coordinator at CSUN University Student Union. Alexandra also gained experience as a Customer Service Representative at Orchard Supply Hardware from 2014 to 2017.

In 2019, Casanovas took on the role of Health Educator/Outreach Worker at Tarzana Treatment Centers, where they conducted community outreach, educated healthcare providers about the LGBTQ+ community, and developed presentations on LGBTQ+ topics.

From 2019 to 2021, they were an Operations Intern at San Fernando Community Health Center, where they gained hands-on experience in the healthcare field.

Casanovas also worked at UCLA Health as a Resource Coordinator for the Jonsson Comprehensive Cancer Center from 2021 to 2023, and at AltaMed Health Services as a Project Intern and later as a Project Coordinator in the Quality and Population Health Analytics department from 2022 onwards. In these roles, they were responsible for coordinating projects, data analytics, and supporting quality improvement initiatives.

Alexandra Casanovas has a diverse education history, beginning with their pursuit of a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree at California State University, Northridge from 2021 to 2023. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor's degree in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from the same institution from 2017 to 2019.

Before attending California State University, Northridge, Alexandra Casanovas studied at Los Angeles Valley College from 2014 to 2017. During this period, they earned an Associate of Arts (AA) degree in Behavioral Sciences and another AA degree in General Studies.

In addition to their formal education, Alexandra Casanovas has obtained certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge. In November 2022, they completed the HSR Basic Course for Social-Behavioral-Educational Researchers from the CITI Program. Previously, in August 2021, they obtained certification in CPR & AED from the American Heart Association.
