Lizette Escobedo

Lizette Escobedo has an extensive work experience in various organizations and roles. Lizette currently works as the Associate Vice President of Civic Engagement & Advocacy at AltaMed Health Services since May 2021. Previously, they served as the National Director of Civic Engagement at NALEO Educational Fund from December 2020 to May 2021. From January 2019 to October 2020, they worked as the Director of National Census Program at NALEO Educational Fund. Prior to that, they were the Communications Director at SEIU Local 2015 from January 2016 to January 2019, where they oversaw statewide communications and public relations efforts and managed a team of specialists. Lizette also held roles such as Chair at Rio Hondo Democratic Club, Elected Delegate at California Democratic Party, and Candidate at Escobedo for Whittier City Council. Lizette has worked as a Contributor at Moms Clean Air Force and as a Freelance Communications Consultant at Cardenas Strategy Group. Lizette began their career as the Director of Field Operations at the U.S. House of Representatives, where they managed field operations and developed comprehensive civic engagement programs.

From 2002 to 2006, Lizette Escobedo attended UC San Diego, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communications & Ethnic Studies.
