Erin Murphy

Erin Murphy has a diverse work experience that includes roles in data science, research, tutoring, and military service. In 2019, they worked as a Data Scientist at Altamira Technologies Corporation. Prior to that, they were a Data Science Research Assistant at the College of Charleston from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they conducted source code analysis and developed a model for predicting malicious intent in source code authors. Erin also conducted sentiment analysis on Stack Overflow queries and responses to determine the relationship between reputation scores and sentiment.

During their time at Deepbd in 2019, Erin worked as a Data Science Intern, where they completed a capstone project.

Before transitioning into the data science field, Erin had a successful military career in the US Army. From 2004 to 2017, they held various roles, including Department Manager, Course Manager, Target Audience Analyst, and Section Manager. Erin demonstrated expertise in psychological operations, cultural support, regional analysis, and database management.

Erin Murphy's education history begins with completing an Associate of Arts and Sciences (A.A.S.) degree in General Studies from Central Texas College from 2006 to 2008. Following this, Erin obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology from the American Public University System, which was completed before 2020. Erin then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Data Science from the College of Charleston, with the completion date being in 2019. Currently, Erin is enrolled at the University of Tampa and is expected to earn a Master of Science (MS) degree in Business Analytics, which began in 2021 and is set to end in 2022.
