Eddie Kalmykov, Ph.D. has a wide range of work experience, beginning in 2005 as a Research Assistant Professor/Instructor of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio, followed by Senior Postdoctoral Fellow/Lab Manager and Research/Teaching Assistant roles. In 2013, they began working as an Adjunct Professor at St. Mary's University, followed by a similar role at University of the Incarnate Word in 2014. Edward (Eddie) then moved to Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals where they held the roles of Medical Science Liaison and Senior Medical Science Liaison from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, they joined Milestone Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as Associate Director Medical Affairs, and in 2020 they moved to Eidos Therapeutics as Senior Medical Director. Most recently, in 2022 they joined AltaThera Pharmaceuticals as Senior Director and Head, Medical Affairs.
Eddie Kalmykov received their Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Biochemistry, Biophysics and Molecular Biology from UT Health San Antonio in 2012. Prior to that, they earned a B.S. in Biochemistry/Physics from Texas Tech University in 2005.
