Jessica Mead

Jessica joined Cortland Capital Market Services LLC (“Cortland”) as General Counsel in 2008. Cortland became part of the Alter Domus Group in March 2018, and Jessica was named Group General Counsel in February 2020.

As General Counsel, she manages the full spectrum of legal, risk, and compliance services to support corporate-level transactions and the operations of business units. Reporting to the CEO, she works with the senior leadership to ensure all Group operations are conducted within the limits prescribed by law and that the Group’s rights are fully protected through the provision of sound legal counsel and guidance. She delivers legal services to the Group, maintains and manages relationships with external legal advisers, and develops and manages training and compliance programs to promote an understanding of the organization's legal rights and obligations and to cultivate a culture of compliance. She also works closely with senior managers on significant corporate initiatives and negotiates major commercial transactions and non-routine transactions. Furthermore, she promotes the Group’s values and models behaviors that demonstrate commitment to the Group’s leadership principles.
