Konstantin Ivanov

Konstantin Ivanov has extensive work experience in the maritime industry. Konstantin began their career in 2001 as a Deck Officer at NaviBulgar Ltd, where they gained operational-level responsibility and navigational skills. In 2003, they joined Ahrenkiel Shipmanagent as a Deck Officer, further enhancing their navigational expertise. From 2005 to 2009, Konstantin worked at Ahrenkiel Group as a Chief Officer, assuming management-level responsibility and continuing to develop their navigation skills. Konstantin then joined Sanco Shipping in 2009 as a Chief Officer with additional responsibilities as a SDPO and DPO. In 2010, they worked at Beluga Chartering GmbH / Intrapac GmbH as a Cargo Superintendent, where they focused on stowage planning and handling heavy lift and project cargo. Konstantin later joined Solstad Offshore ASA as a 2nd Officer with DPO duties in 2011, followed by a role as a 2nd Officer with SDPO responsibilities at Subsea 7. From 2012 to 2021, they worked at DeepOcean, starting as a 2nd Officer with SDPO responsibilities before being promoted to Ch.off/SDPO/Master, demonstrating their management level of responsibility and expertise in navigation. Currently, Konstantin holds the position of Chief Officer at Altera Infrastructure, which they started in 2022.

Konstantin Ivanov earned their Master of Science (MSc) degree in Navigation from the Naval Academy "Nikola Vaptsarov" - Varna, where they studied from 1996 to 2001. In addition to their academic qualifications, they also hold several certifications, including Dynamic Positioning Operator - Unlimited from the Nautical Institute - London, and Master Unlimited CEC and Master Unlimited COC / STCW II/2 from the MCA (Maritime and Coastguard Agency).
