Royston Raphael

Royston Raphael has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of quality assurance and automation engineering. Royston recently served as the Head of QA at Futureverse since 2022. Prior to that, they were the Principal QA Engineer at EROAD from 2021 to 2022. Royston also worked at ASB Bank as the Quality Engineering Chapter Lead from 2021 to 2021 and as a Software Consultant/Test Consultant from 2020 to 2021. Royston also had experience working as a Senior QA Automation Engineer (Contract) at AA New Zealand from 2019 to 2020 and at Sky New Zealand from 2019 to 2019. Royston further served as a Senior QA Automation Engineer at Meaningful from 2018 to 2019, as a Senior Quality Assurance Automation Engineer at Air New Zealand from 2017 to 2018, and as a Lead Test Automation Specialist at Xero from 2016 to 2017. Royston's earlier experience includes positions such as Software Test Engineer at Orion Health from 2015 to 2016 and Software/Test Engineer at Vista Entertainment Solutions from 2012 to 2015.

Royston Raphael's education history begins in 2005 when they enrolled at the Auckland University of Technology. Royston pursued a Conjoint BCIS + BBUS degree, focusing on software development and accounting. Royston completed their studies at the university in 2010.

In terms of additional certifications, Royston obtained the ISTQB Certified Tester, Foundation Level (CT-FL) from the ISTQB - International Software Testing Qualifications Board in July 2015. Royston further expanded their skillset by acquiring the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in December 2020.

In February 2020, Royston attained the Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect Associate certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS). Royston later obtained the AZ-303 Microsoft Azure Architect Technologies certification from Microsoft in June 2021.

Royston's most recent certification is the Security Fundamentals: Level 1, which they obtained from SafeStack in December 2022.
