Bedirhan Çaldır

Bedirhan Çaldır has a diverse work experience beginning in 2011. Bedirhan started as a Board Member and Tutor at KOLT, Koç University, where they serviced as a conduit between KOLT and Board and regulated the workings of the Board, managed the Board budget, met with the tutors of the courses, monitored tutors' performance, and advertised and developed the organization. Bedirhan also tutored students on weekly homework assignments and explained topics covered in class for Data Structures and Algorithms, SICP (Scheme), Java, MATLAB and Multivariable Calculus courses. In 2014, they interned at AKINSOFT SOFTWARE ENGINEERING LLC. as a Robotics Department Intern, where they created a library via CUDA to parallelize the robotic functions like image processing, voice recognition etc. for AKINCI-3 Humanoid Project. In 2015, they interned at Genomize as a Bioinformatician, where they implemented a Python-based pipeline to analyze and visualize DNA samples to provide tens of different insights. In 2018, they worked at Dcipher Analytics as a Senior Backend Developer, Machine Learning Engineer, and Data Scientist, where they implemented a cloud-based agile analytics platform and developed a Python- and Spark-based text analytics solution. In 2019, they worked at Dogma Alares as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer, where they were responsible for several end-to-end ML/DL projects solving critical problems and optimizing existing approaches of different industries from banking to insurance. In 2020, they worked at Sodec Technologies as a Senior Machine Learning Engineer and at Alterna CX as a ML Team Lead and Researcher, where they were responsible for R&D of AI survey-based customer experience solutions and deployed state-of-the-art Deep Learning models for text classification tasks.

Bedirhan Çaldır's education history includes a Master of Science in Computer Engineering from Boğaziçi University (2017-2021), a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science from The Chinese University of Hong Kong (2015-2016), a Bachelor's Degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from Koç University (2010-2015), and a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering from Koç University (2012-2016). Bedirhan also attended Meram Anadolu Lisesi, where they completed their high school education in Mathematics & Science (2006-2010).
