Matthew Yanny-Tillar is an experienced educator and program director currently serving at Alternative Schools Network since December 2016. In the role of Program Director for the Re-Enrolled Student Project, Matthew manages a database for over 900 students across 20 school sites, ensuring successful re-enrollment and graduation of Chicago youth. Additionally, as Program Director for the Streets to Pathways Career Initiative, Matthew implements a grant-funded program for at-risk youth, overseeing budget preparation and contract negotiations. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Principal and Science Instructor at Prologue Early College High School, where Matthew focused on instructional leadership and school operations. Earlier in the career, Matthew taught physics and algebra at St. Scholastica Academy, and contributed to biomedical research as a Coop Biomedical Engineer at S. C. Johnson & Sons. Matthew holds a Master of Arts in Educational Leadership from Northeastern Illinois University and a Bachelor of Science in Biomedical Engineering from Marquette University.
