Michael Bartberger

Michael Bartberger has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries. Michael is currently employed at Alterome Therapeutics Inc as the Senior Vice President of Computational Chemistry, a role they began in January 2022. Prior to this, they served as the Vice President of In Silico Discovery at 1200 Pharma from February 2018 to January 2022. Michael also worked at Amgen for over 17 years, starting as a Scientist (RS I) from November 2001 to March 2004. Michael then progressed to become a Senior Scientist from March 2004 to March 2010 before ultimately being promoted to Principal Scientist from March 2010 to February 2018.

Michael Bartberger has a strong educational background in chemistry and biochemistry. Michael earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the University of Central Florida in 1992. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Florida and obtained their Ph.D. in Chemistry in 1997. After completing their doctoral studies, Bartberger went on to join UCLA as a National Institutes of Health Postdoctoral Fellow from 1997 to 2001, focusing on Chemistry and Biochemistry.
