Annamalai Muthu

Annamalai Muthu, CPA, CA, MFin has extensive work experience in finance and accounting roles. They are currently the Chief Financial Officer at Alterra Developments, where they oversee financial operations. Prior to this, Annamalai held the role of Vice President, Finance at Alterra Developments and Vice President, Finance & Treasury at Temerty Group.

Annamalai also has previous experience as the Corporate Controller at Allied Properties REIT, where they led a team and managed various financial functions. Earlier in their career, they worked at Yamana Gold Inc. in roles such as Director of Accounting, Senior Manager of Accounting, Manager of Accounting, and Senior Financial Analyst. At Yamana Gold, they were responsible for global consolidations, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with internal and external timelines.

Annamalai's career also includes experience as a Senior Associate at PricewaterhouseCoopers and a Financial Analyst at Computershare. They have shown expertise in financial analysis, accounting, and strategic planning throughout their career. Additionally, Annamalai has served as a Board Member for the Shooting Stars Foundation.

Annamalai Muthu, CPA, CA, MFin completed a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Comm) degree in Accounting from Carleton University from 2003 to 2006. In 2010, they obtained a Chartered Accountant designation from the Chartered Professional Accountants of Canada (CPA Canada). Currently, Annamalai is pursuing a Master of Finance degree from Queen's University, expected to be completed in 2022.
